Hilton Canopy

The hotel is in Minneapolis’s historic Mill District, a neighborhood that was once the heart of the city’s flour-milling industry. The building that houses the Canopy was originally the Advance Thresher/Emerson-Newton Implement Company complex, comprised of two adjoining industrial structures built in 1900 and 1904. These buildings were used for manufacturing agricultural machinery and are part of the city’s industrial heritage. The complex has been on the National Register of Historic Places.

Canopy by Hilton is Hilton’s lifestyle hotel brand, designed to reflect the spirit of the neighborhood where each property is located. The Minneapolis hotel embraces its industrial roots through exposed wood beams, original structural elements, and design touches paying homage to the milling legacy of the Mill District.
