Grand Casinos

The Grand Casino Mille Lacs and Grand Casino Hinckley were established under the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA) of 1988 and became a key avenue for economic development and community investment in east-central Minnesota. The casinos have become a major employer and economic driver, creating several thousand new jobs.

In 2024, extensive renovations were completed at both Grand Casino Mille Lacs and Grand Casino Hinckley, featuring new furniture upgrades to over 1,100 hotel rooms by Contraxx. The massive renovation included new suite themes and contemporary styling blended with indigenous art and cultural motifs. These improvements changed The Grand Casinos status to a top resort destination in the Upper Midwest, combining modern hospitality with cultural storytelling and guest comfort.
