Hutchinson Shores Resort

The Hutchinson Shores Resort sits on a site long associated with beachfront lodging on Hutchinson Island in Jensen Beach, FL. Previously, this location was home to the Holiday Inn Oceanside, a hotel that was destroyed by Hurricanes Frances and Jeanne. After the hurricane damage, the building sat vacant and deteriorated for many years.

In December 2015, construction began on a new resort building to replace the defunct structure on the site. The property was developed by Ocean Properties Hotels, Resorts & Affiliates (OPH), a hotel management and development company that owns and operates more than 100 resorts and hospitality properties across North America.

From its opening, the resort was conceived as a luxury, coastal-inspired beachfront destination, blending contemporary design with views and access to the Atlantic Ocean. The opening of the resort was widely seen as an economic boost and revitalization milestone for Jensen Beach’s beachfront, replacing a long-vacant beachfront property and attracting more visitors to the area year-round.
