Homewood Suites

The Homewood Suites by Hilton Sarasota is one of the first Homewood Suites properties in the Sarasota area. The hotel was positioned to serve business travelers, extended stay guests, and visitors seeking more spacious accommodations close to Sarasota’s beaches and cultural attractions

The Sarasota property was developed on a site that previously housed other uses (including an unfinished assisted living facility) before its conversion and redevelopment into the Homewood Suites hotel. Local developers and Hilton forged an agreement to bring the franchise here because Sarasota’s growing tourism and business travel demand made it an attractive site for an extended stay product that included full kitchens and suite layouts.

The property underwent a renovation in 2013 to update rooms, public spaces, and amenities to maintain strong guest satisfaction and align more closely with evolving Hilton brand standards for Homewood Suites.

Contraxx built two sliding divider doors in the lobby area for this project. The first is a CNC-routed Tree of Life pattern and the second is a sliding spider-web cabinet. Both pieces provide visual interest and a calm presence in the lobby area. Contraxx also made the pre-function tables shown in the foreground of the photos.
