The Laurel Hotel

The Laurel Hotel & Spa was created as part of a strategic partnership between Auburn University and Ithaka Hospitality Partners, with the goal of establishing a world class luxury hotel that also functions as a teaching hotel — one of the first of its kind in the United States. The project was planned over several years, with design and construction aligned to support both educational objectives and upscale guest expectations.

In its first year of operation, The Laurel earned the coveted AAA Five Diamond Award. making it the first hotel in Alabama to receive this honor and one of only a small number in the United States.
