Limelight Hotel

The Limelight Hotel Aspen traces its origins back to a mid-20th-century Aspen gathering spot. It began as the ''Ski and Spur Bar,'' a rough-and-tumble watering hole for skiers and locals in a rapidly growing ski town. Over time it became known as The Limelite, a lively dinner theatre and nightclub, drawing major performers such as Judy Collins and the Smothers Brothers under owner and folk singer Glenn Yarbrough

Beginning in spring 2021, the Limelight Hotel Aspen underwent a top-to-bottom renovation to update its public spaces, guestrooms, and experiences for modern travelers. The redesign, led by Stonehill Taylor, reinforced Limelight’s ethos of reflecting Aspen’s outdoor legacy and community culture.

The refreshed property emphasizes open, light-filled areas, enhanced dining and lounge spaces, a dedicated kids’ program, and a continued focus on welcoming both visitors and locals.
